Reach Pre-Registration Applications Exceed 350,000

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) says that, as of September 15, it had received 352,641 pre-registration applications for the Registration, Evaluation, and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) program. However, ECHA says it is concerned that some companies are pre-registering substances for which they have no plan to take through to full registration. Companies should “reflect on their pre-registration strategy before pre-registering their substances,” ECHA says. Companies may send a request to ECHA to have any pre-registrations removed...
