Four phthalates added to registry of intentions as SVHCs under Reach

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) says that four new substances of very high concern (SVHC) have been added to the registry of intentions, under the European Union’s Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals (Reach) regulation. The new intentions are bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate, diisobutyl phthalate, benzyl butyl phthalate, and dibutyl phthalate. Denmark will prepare the dossiers.
