Czech President Václav Klaus has vetoed the European Union’s (EU) Registration, Evaluation, and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) legislation. “There is no reason to further toughen legislation in this field. People are not endangered by chemicals,” Klaus said in a statement last week, quoted by Germany’s DPA news agency.
