ECHA Steps in to Rescue Failing Reach Data-Sharing Groups

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) has launched a campaign to increase awareness among chemical firms that they must actively participate in a Substance Information Exchange Forum (SIEF) for each chemical they have pre-registered under Europe’s Registration, Evaluation, and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) program. Companies that have pre-registered chemical substances are required to join a SIEF for each product, to share chemical safety data.
