Stephan Kothrade Appointed President of BASF-Sinopec JV

Stephan Kothrade has been appointed the president of BASF-YPC Co. petrochemical joint venture between BASF and Sinopec at Nanjing, China, effective January 1, 2012. Stephan Kothrade will succeed Bernd Blumenberg, who will retire at the end of 2011. Stephan Kothrade has worked with BASF since 1995, and most recently, he headed plant operations, engineering & infrastructure at BASF at Antwerp, Belgium.
