Solvay CFO ends 26 years at company

Solvay says that Bernard de Laguiche has decided to end his 26-year career at the company, the last 7 of which were as CFO. De Laguiche will remain at Solvay as a nonexecutive board member. The company has named Karim Hajjar as CFO, and he will join Solvay's executive committee effective 1 October. Hajjar was previously deputy CFO at Shell Chemicals, CFO at Tarmac Group (Solihull, UK) in 2005–09, and managing director at Tarmac until 2010. He joined Solvay from Imperial Tobacco Group (Bristol, UK), for which he had been finance and planning director...
