Siluria elects former Anadarko exec chairman

Methane-to-ethylene technology firm Siluria Technologies (San Francisco) announced today that Karl Kurz has been appointed chairman of its board of directors effective 23 June 2014. Kurz has been a Siluria board member since July 2013. He replaces Leighton Read, M.D., of Alloy Ventures, who served as board chairman since the company's inception in 2007. Read will continue as a Siluria Board member. Kurz most recently was a managing director with CCMP Capital Advisors, LLC and co-head of its Energy Group from September 2009 to September 2012.
