Shareholder Group Seeks Sale of Schulman

Private equity firm Ramius Capital Group (New York), which owns 7.6% of A. Schulman (Akron, OH), says it has nominated four candidates for election to Schulman’s board of directors. The move is an attempt to “help Schulman fully explore strategic alternatives,” including a possible sale, and focus on improving profitability, Ramius says.
