Sasol Brings Purified Tri-Ethyl Aluminum Capacity Online

Sasol has started up production of its new purified tri-ethyl aluminum (TEAL) product, Alcat TEAL, at a 6,000 tons/year plant at Brunsebüttel, Germany. The product is used as a co-catalyst in the production of polyethylene and polypropylene, and also as a reactive intermediate in the manufacturing of Linear Alpha Olefins (LAO)—used in polymer and lubricant applications.
