Russia requests extradition of Uralkali CEO from Belarus

The Belarusian prosecutor general's office has received and is considering an official request from Russia for the extradition of Vladislav Baumgertner, CEO of potash producer Uralkali (Berezniki, Russia), Belarus national news agency BelTA says. Baumgertner was arrested and imprisoned in Minsk on 26 August, and has been under house arrest in the city since late September. Baumgertner's arrest followed Uralkali's exit in late July from the Belarusian Potash Co. (BPC; Minsk) potash export cartel, which was operated jointly with Belaruskali (Soligorsk, Belarus)...
