Report: Large Scale Chemical M&A to Return Within Two Years

Significant, high-value M&A transactions are expected to return to the chemical industry within 18 to 24 months, according to new report released by consulting firm KPMG (New York). The comeback will be led by cash-rich Chinese and Middle Eastern buyers, the report says. "The upshot we see for the M&A market is an increase in activity in the coming 18-24 months, with Western firms the likely targets and Middle Eastern and Chinese firms the buyers," the report says.
