Praxair starts up carbon dioxide plant at Honeywell resin facility

Praxair announced today that it has started up a carbon dioxide (CO2) purification plant at Honeywell Specialty Materials' Hopewell, VA, site. Honeywell produces nylon resins and caprolactam at Hopewell. Under the long-term agreement, Praxair will purchase, to purify, CO2 by-product from Honeywell's facility. The new plant liquefies and purifies 450 m.t./day of CO2. Financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
