Pfizer to Cut 200 More U.S. Jobs

Pfizer says it will cut a total of 200 jobs at Portage and Kalamazoo, MI, within a year, in addition to job cuts announced across the group earlier in 2007. The job cuts represent about 7% of the combined workforce at the two sites. The move is partly due to lower-than-expected sales from Pfizer’s Exubera inhalable insulin drug.
