Linde Reports Record Results; Sets Growth Targets

The Linde Group has announced a 23% increase in operating profit in 2010 to €2.93 billion ($4.07 billion) on 15% higher sales at €12.87 billion. For 2014, the company has set an operating profit target of €4 billion and "at least 14%" return on capital employed. Separately, Linde has appointed Sanjiv Lamba to the executive board. He will be responsible for the gases business of the group in Greater China, South and East Asia and in the South Pacific region.
