Invista to Shutter U.K. Nylon Facility

Invista will close the company’s nylon polymer and intermediates manufacturing complex at Wilton, U.K. with the loss of about 300 jobs. Invista did not announce a proposed date for the closure but says it has started consulting with trade unions and employee representatives. The complex’s main products are adipic acid; hexamethylenediamine; nylon salt; and nylon-6,6.
