People & Business :: People/Executives Invista to Shutter U.K. Nylon Facility11:27 AM MST | January 16, 2009 Invista will close the company’s nylon polymer and intermediates manufacturing complex at Wilton, U.K. with the loss of about 300 jobs. Invista did not announce a proposed date for the closure but says it has started consulting with trade unions and employee representatives. The complex’s main products are adipic acid; hexamethylenediamine; nylon salt; and nylon-6,6.
