Invista to Idle Plants, Cut Jobs

Invista, a subsidiary of Koch Industries, says it will cut about 240 jobs at its Maitland, ON nylon intermediates and specialty materials plant under a restructuring that will take place over the next several months. Portions of the Maitland site will be idled long term, including its adipic acid, dibasic esters, and hexamethylenediamine (HMD) units, the company says.
