IC Potash completes feasibility study of $1-billion potash project

IC Potash (ICP; Toronto) has completed a feasibility study for its ochoa sulphate of potash (SOP) project at Lea County, NM—effective 9 January. Construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of this year and continue through the second quarter of 2017, followed by 50 years of operation, the company says. The study indicated that SOP production in 2017 is estimated at 48% of annual capacity, with full capacity beginning in 2018.
