Income Gains as Disclosure Rules Tighten

Senior chemical executives continued to bring home fat paychecks last year, according to data that 50 firms filed with the SEC. The median overall compensation package for chemical industry CEOs listed in CW’s annual survey was $5.7 million, and the total haul for 12 senior executives topped $10 million (table, p. 25). The year was also a healthy one for industry investors as stocks rose 28% in the Dow Jones U.S. Chemical Index and 35% in CW’s own CW75 global index.
