ENI appoints Claudio Descalzi as CEO

The board of directors of ENI (Rome) on Friday appointed Claudio Descalzi as CEO, replacing Paolo Scaroni. Scaroni was appointed head of the energy major by disgraced former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi nine years ago. The board has also named Descalzi as COO of the exploration & production division, although the appointment will be confirmed at a later date. ENI is the owner of chemicals major Versalis (Milan)...
