Dow CEO Named Co-Chair of U.S. Advanced Manufacturing Initiative (update)

Dow Chemical chairman and CEO Andrew Liveris has been named co-chair of the U.S. Advanced Manufacturing Partnership by President Barack Obama. The partnership will work to develop advanced manufacturing technologies in the U.S., ensure the competitiveness of U.S. manufacturing, and speed the implementation of ideas related to the sector. The other co-chair is Susan Hockfield, president of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
