People & Business :: People/Executives Deutsche Bank: U.S. Chemicals Sector to Post Modest Growth in 20128:42 AM MST | January 4, 2012 | Vincent Valk Deutsche Bank (New York) expects the U.S. chemicals sector to post moderately positive volume growth, totaling 4.5% year-on-year, in 2012, according to a new report. Exports to emerging markets such as Asia and Latin America are forecast to offset a likely recession in Europe. The U.S. itself is expected to post a 2.5% increase in GDP, helping to prop up chemicals demand somewhat. Deutsche Bank expects GDP growth to total 8.3% in China, 7.3% in India, and 0.5% in Japan.
