Designated BASF Board Member Quits

Wolfgang Büchele, former head of BASF’s fine chemicals division, left the company on December 31, 2007, “at his own request,” BASF says. Büchele was to have taken over board responsibility for BASF’s oil and gas business and European operations, as well as for global procurement and logistics on January 1.
