Compass Minerals reports increased deicing sales volumes in fourth quarter

Compass Minerals (Kansas City) released its deicing sales volume data for the fourth quartertoday, showing increased snow activity—which pushed its highway deicing sales volumes “well above” its 2012 results, the company says. The deicing business sold 4 million tons in the three months ended 31 December 2013, compared with 2.3 tons in the same quarter 2012.
