Compass Minerals first-quarter deicing volumes up on heavy winter weather

Compass Minerals reported stronger first-quarter volumes for deicing products due to severe winter in North America. Compass Minerals says highway deicing sales volumes—including all highway maintenance products sold in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, as well as rock salt—totalled 4.7 million tons in the first quarter, up 6% year-on-year (YOY).
