Cefic General Assembly: Jourquin Elected President; To Build on Progress Made Under Predecessor

Christian Jourquin, CEO of Solvay, was elected Cefic president during Cefic's General Assembly in Athens on October 4. He was elected for a two-year term. Jourquin, in his acceptance speech, said that the coming years will be crucial for the European chemical industry and that it will need to respond to "unprecedented challenges and opportunities created by climate change and scarce raw materials."
