Cabot Taps BASF Executive as Next CEO

Prevost: A leadership position. Cabot has appointed Patrick M. Prevost, currently president of BASF’s performance chemicals business, as its new president and CEO. Prevost will succeed Kennett F. Burnes, who will retire on January 1, 2008. Burnes will remain as chairman of the board until the 2008 annual meeting on March 13, 2008. Prevost has been in his current position since 2005.
