Bayer appoints board member responsible for innovation

Bayer says that its supervisory board has appointed Kemal Malik to its board of management, effective 1 February 2014. Malik has been a member of the Bayer HealthCare executive committee, head/global development, and chief medical officer since 2007. He is to succeed Wolfgang Plischke upon the latter's retirement on 30 April 2014. Plischke joined Bayer in 1980 and has been a member of the board of management since March 2006.
