BP Appoints New CEO

BP has appointed Tony Hayward to succeed Lord John Browne as CEO, effective at the end of July. Browne is retiring. “Tony has an excellent track record and extensive knowledge of the sector and will be able to draw on John’s wealth of knowledge over the next six months,” says Peter Sutherland, company chairman.
