Akzo Names Management Team Following ICI Deal

Akzo Nobel says it has named several proposed changes to its board of management and supervisory board following its pending acquisition of ICI. That deal is scheduled to close January 2, 2008, and the new positions will take effect May 1, 2008, Akzo says. ICI chairman Peter Ellwood will be proposed to join Akzo’s supervisory board. Hans Wijers will retain his role as Akzo chairman, but will hand over his responsibilities for the industrial coatings activities to Leif Darner, currently board member responsible for the chemicals and decorative coatings business...
