Aker Kvaerner to Change Name to Aker Solutions; Appoints New CEO

Aker Kvaerner (Oslo), a leading provider of engineering and construction services, technology products, and integrated solutions, will propose to change the company’s name to Aker Solutions at its next annual meeting. The company says that during 2007 a new ownership structure was established for Aker Kvaerner as more than 40% of the company’s shares were transferred from the Norwegian conglomerate Aker (Oslo) to Aker Holding, a holding company controlled by Aker.
