Airgas to build air separation unit in Connecticut

Airgas announced today that it plans to expand its atmospheric gas production capacity in New England by building a second air separation unit (ASU) at its Bozrah, CT, merchant gases facility, the company says. The 600-m.t./day ASU will produce oxygen, nitrogen, and argon and is expected to begin production in fall 2015. “The market for atmospheric gases is expected to continue to grow in New England, particularly in the medical, laboratory, high-tech, and food industries,” says Michael Molinini, Airgas president and CEO. “Now is the right time...
