People & Business :: People/Executives Airgas reports modest growth in sales, earnings1:03 PM MDT | October 23, 2012 | Lindsay Frost Airgas reported a rise in earnings for the quarter ended 30 September, despite higher SAP implementation costs, supply constraints in the helium market, and softer economic conditions. Net earnings grew 4%, to $81 million, and hit $1.03/share. Adjusted earnings were reported as $1.05/share, slightly below analyst estimates of $1.06/share, according to Thomson Reuters (New York). Sales increased 3%, to $1.23 billion. Peter McCausland, executive chairman of Airgas, says that the results reflect a resilient business during a sluggish economic environment...
