People & Business :: People/Executives Air Products to build ASU for Zambian copper mine10:20 AM MST | November 6, 2012 | Lindsay Frost Air Products has received a supply contract to build and operate two oxygen plants at a copper-smelter site being built in Zambia by Kansanshi Mining (Lusaka, Zambia). As a part of the agreement, Air Products will supply two 750-mt/day oxygen plants and all air separation unit (ASU)–related equipment and design. Kansanshi will construct the facility, and the ASUs are planned to be onstream in 2014.
