ACC production index grows

ACC today released its global chemical production index (CPRI), which has risen 0.4% on a three-month moving average basis (3MMA) over March, indicating a good start to the first quarter. Production gains in Western Europe, Asia/Pacific, and Africa and Mideast regions offset small declines and flat growth in other major regions of the world, ACC says. Production rose in all major sectors of the industry, with man-made fibers being the exception. The CPRI was up 4.9% year-on-year (YOY).
