People & Business :: People/Executives Oxea expands polyols production site, increases prices11:08 AM MST | January 16, 2013 | Lindsay Frost Oxea announced it is expanding its production site at Bishop, TX, to add capacity increases for potassium formate and trimethylolpropane (TMP). Capacity costs were not disclosed. Potassium formate is used as a component in well-servicing fluids for the extraction of oil and gas and for deicing. TMP is used as a building block for polymers in polyesters and polyurethanes, as well as other areas such as synthetic lubricants, the company says.
