People & Business :: M&A Sumitomo Chemical increases stake in US pesticide firm10:41 AM MST | December 18, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Sumitomo Chemical says it has increased its stake in McLaughlin Gormley King (MGK; Minneapolis) from 32.88%, to 76.36%, following an agreement with the Gullickson family, the founders and previous majority-shareholders of MGK. MGK is now a subsidiary of Sumitomo. MGK, which was founded in 1902, sells insect control products into consumer home and pet products, professional pest control, animal health, and other markets. MGK is a leader in the development and distribution of a range of insect control technologies, Sumitomo says. MGK holds 253 product registrations...
