SGL Completes the Acquisition of Portuguese Acrylic Fibers Maker Fisipe

SGL Group (Wiesbaden, Germany), a leader in the production of carbon fibers, says it has completed the acquisition of an 86% stake in the listed Portuguese acrylic fiber producer Fibras Sinteticas de Portugal (Fisipe) from the principal shareholder Negofor. The final value of the acquisition is forecast to be approximately €25 million ($32.9 million). The acquisition agreement was signed by the two sides at the end of March 2012.
