People & Business :: M&A Report: Chemicals M&A Activity Continues to Rebound11:50 AM MDT | May 20, 2011 | Vincent Valk The total value of announced chemicals M&A deals in the first-quarter stood at $41 billion, according to a report by PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC; New York), a consulting firm. The $41 billion figure only counts deals valued at higher than $50 million. The rise was expected, as "we are finally seeing deal flow from pending transactions that have been in the pipeline for several quarters," PwC says. While total deal value rose, deal volume actually declined 16%, to 293 announced transactions. Nevertheless, PwC is optimistic about the rest of this...
