Praxair acquires merchant carbon dioxide business

Praxair announced today that it has acquired Tri-State Carbonic’s (Lawrenceburg, IN) merchant carbon dioxide (CO2) business. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Tri-State produces high-quality, bulk CO2 gas for industrial use in the Cincinnati area, specifically in the food and beverage, fire-prevention, welding, and other markets. “The Tri-State CO2 plant enables Praxair to better serve customers in the Cincinnati and Louisville[, Kentucky,] areas, and further strengthens the reliability of our system,” says Kevin Foti...
