Polyplastics Completes Acquisition of LCP Monomer Supplier in Germany

Polyplastics (Tokyo) says it has completed the acquisition of LCP Leuna Carboxylation Plant (Leuna, Germany), a supplier of p-hydroxybenzoate (p-HBA), a key monomer used in liquid crystal polymers (LCP), from Infatrade (UK), in London. LCPs are mainly used in electronic parts of cutting-edge IT devices such as smartphones and tablet computers.
