PolyOne to acquire Spartech for $393 million

PolyOne says it agreed to acquire Spartech, the largest North American producer of rigid barrier packaging and specialty cast acrylics, for $393 million. The deal expands PolyOne’s specialty portfolio into aerospace and security markets, and creates new opportunities in health care, transportation, and consumer sectors, the company says.
