PTT Completes Acquisition of 50% Stake in NatureWorks

PTT Global Chemical (Bangkok) says that on Thursday it completed a previously announced investment to acquire a 50% stake in NatureWorks for $150 million. The original agreement was signed on October 12, 2011 by PTTGC International (USA), the then wholly-owned subsidiary of PTT Chemical Public Company (PTTCH). On October 19, 2011, PTTCH merged with PTT Aromatics and Refining Public Co. to form PTT Global, which has since assumed the rights and obligations of PTTCH and PTT Aromatics.   NatureWorks, a bio-polymers company, has capacity to produce 140,000...
