PPG launches Georgia Gulf share exchange

PPG has launched a share exchange under which PPG shareholders will be allowed to convert the company’s common stock into Georgia Gulf common stock. The share exchange is part of the merger of PPG’s commodity chemicals business into Georgia Gulf, a move that was announced in July.   According to the deal, all PPG shareholders will have right to exchange their shares for those of Eagle Spinco, an entity consisting of PPG’s commodity chemicals business, which will then be merged into Georgia Gulf.
