People & Business :: M&A Myers Completes Acquisition of Brazilian Plastics Manufacturer12:02 PM MDT | July 9, 2012 | Lindsay Frost Myers Industries (Akron, OH) has completed its acquisition of Plasticos Novel S.A. (Lauro de Freitas, Brazil) for $27.5 million. Novel is a designer and manufacturer of reusable plastic crates and totes used for closed-loop shipping and storage in the food and agriculture industries of Brazil. Novel also produces plastic industrial safety products and has projected sales of $38 million for 2012.
