Minerals Technologies completes Amcol acquisition

Minerals Technologies today announced it has completed the acquisition of bentonite maker Amcol (Hoffman Estates, IL) for $1.7 billion, or $45.75/share. The deal was announced in March after Amcol launched a bidding war with Imerys, which had agreed to acquire Amcol for $41/share in February.
