Mendel to sell its plant science subsidiary

Mendel Biotechnology (Haywood, CA), a leading agricultural discovery company, says it intends to sell its Mendel Plant Sciences but retain the royalty-based biotech trait business it developed largely in collaboration with Monsanto. Separating the two distinct businesses will enable each to maximize their respective value, Mendel says.
