Meiji to acquire Indian contract manufacturing and generic drugs firm Medreich for $290 million

Meiji Holdings (Tokyo), through its Meiji Seika Pharma subsidiary, has agreed to acquire Bangalore, India based Medreich Ltd. Meiji agreed to pay $290 million for Medreich, which in 2013 reported sales of $157 million and operating income of $24 million.
