La Seda to sell petchem assets in Spain to market entrant

Plants owned and operated by La Seda de Barcelona (El Prat de Llobregat, Spain) at El Prat and Tarragona, Spain are to be acquired by Cristian Lay (Jerez de los Caballeros, Spain), according to Spanish press reports. Cristian Lay's offer is valued at €15 million ($20.3 million), the reports say. Cristian Lay cannot comment on the possible acquisition because the commercial court of Barcelona has yet to make a decision on the deal, the company tells CW. The court has not provided a timeframe for its decision, although it is expected shortly, the company says...
