Kemira and Wilmar to form alkyl ketene dimer wax JV in China

Kemira and Wilmar International announced today that they have signed a joint venture agreement to manufacture alkylketene dimer (AKD) wax in China. The jv entities in China will be owned 50-50 and will integrate the current facilities of Kemira at Yanzhou and the relevant Wilmar facilities in Lianyungang. Teaming up of the two major players underlines the long-term interest of both companies to better serve all paper customers globally, the companies say.
