European private equity firm to acquire bulk storage provider Westway

EQT Infrastructure II has launched a public tender offer to acquire the Westway Group (New Orleans, LA), a provider of bulk liquid storage, for $419 million. EQT will acquire all outstanding securities of Westway for $6.70/share. Westway also entered into a definitive agreement with EQT to sell its liquid feed supplement business and bulk liquid sotage terminals located in Ireland, Denmark, Korea, and the United Kingdom to an affiliate of ED&F Man Holdings (London), Westway’s largest shareholder, for $115 million.
